2017 The Year of the Casserole

img_5065I’m aiming to make 2017 the Year of the Casserole here in our home. 😀

I made my first one tonight, and it tasted great. They are easy to make, and they warm you up! They also filled our home with delicious smells.

I made a chicken-green bean-corn-pasta Casserole. Do you have a favorite recipe? Please send it my way, if so!

  1. Hi Kristen,

Your casserole looks yummy! I have a great casserole recipe to share. It is a Feta Cheese, Chicken, Mushroom Spaghetti bake.

    Box of spaghetti
1 can of Black Olives (Use half a can
    1 Tub of Feta Cheese
    1 Tub of Mushrooms
    Garlic Salt or Minced Garlic

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Boil water, add spaghetti or whatever noodle you like

Saute the chopped mushrooms, chicken and chopped black olives in Minced Garlic or garlic salt. I do this while waiting for my water to boil so that my saute is done about the time my spaghetti is ready.

Take a 9 by 13 baking dish. Add the saute mix and the sphaghetti to the dish. Add in your Feta Cheese and mix into pasta. Next, fill your casserole dish half way up with milk. Lastly, add five big dollops of butter to the top of pasta. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until pasta has browned a bit. Enjoy!!!

    1. I know, lol. Great point. I sometimes read a recipe online and then “wing it” when I cook. I guess if I’m posting food articles I really need to include my steps/directions/recipe. I will work on that! Hope you are well. Blessings, Kristen

      1. I hope to find a lower-calorie turkey chili recipe online and make it today. If I find a good one, I’ll post it.
