Hiking @Franconia Notch State Park (New Hampshire)

John, me, and our dear friend Katelyn spent a full day hiking up and down Cannon Mountain in Franconia Notch State Park, New Hampshire, yesterday.

It felt wonderful to be on adventure with my loved ones, exploring the wilderness in the early fall, working out (sore muscles!), meeting other hikers (very friendly and helpful), splashing cold mountain water on my face, breathing the pure mountain air, noticing the colors beginning to change in the leaves and moss, eating warm food at the end, having an amazing deep sleep the night after hiking, smelling campfires burning, and celebrating God’s glory – the beauty of earth. Photos below.

Have you been hiking this season?

Where would you go?

What do you think the benefits of hiking might be for your physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual health?

Many blessings to you!
